Broken Things Collective is a collaborative practice founded by artists ann haeyoung and Nupur Mathur that examines the systems behind the brokenness in our lives. We organize community repair events where people gather to diagnose and fix broken objects, share skills, and build an archive of intergenerational repair knowledge. Additionally, we stage performances that take the objects we encounter at these events as starting points, tracing the material and human networks behind the things we use. ann teaches disability studies and writing; Nupur runs participatory workshops in her practice.Â
